University of Arizona Aspiring Latino Lawyer Club

The University of Arizona Aspiring Latino Lawyer Club is a student organization dedicated to supporting Latino students who are interested in pursuing a career in law. The club provides a platform for members to gain insights into the legal field and access to resources that can help them succeed in law school and beyond. Through workshops and guest speakers the club aims to empower Latino students, promote diversity within the legal profession, and foster a sense of community and mutual support among its members. If you are interested in joining us, we meet every Wednesday at 5:00pm at the GSC, Rm. 209 (FALL 2024)!

COPAL is a coalition of Oaxacan students at the University of Arizona committed to persisting against the discrimination against Oaxacan/Indigenous youth, affirming their cultural identity and supporting the academic success of Oaxacan youth in institutions of higher ed!

Grupo Folklórico Miztontli

The first and only folklórico group on campus, Miztontli is a student-run group that promotes Mexican traditions and culture through folklórico dance awareness. Within the group, we seek to provide fellowship amongst students and faculty to explore Mexican folklórico dance, music, history, language, and Mexican traditions. ​

Kappa Delta Chi Sorority Inc

Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. is a Latinx founded (but not Latinx exclusive) national sorority who aims to achieve professional development, academic excellence, and graduation of all its members. An organization dedicated to community service to our local community with an emphasis on the Hispanic/Latino population. Kappa Delta Chi was recognized as an official organization at Texas Tech University on April 6, 1987. The Delta chapter was founded here in Tucson on November 9th, 1991. We were the first Latina founded, service based sorority to be recognized at the University of Arizona.

Latinx Veterinary Medical Association (LVMA)

The LVMA is a student-led chapter at the UAZ to empower Latinx/Hispanic students and professionals in veterinary medicine. Our vision is to help create a veterinary workforce that is representative of our society in order to make veterinary care more accessible to the Latinx community.

Mariachi Arizona

Mariachi Arizona is the official mariachi group of the University of Arizona. Founded over 30 years ago, Mariachi Arizona has undergone immense changes over the years but has kept true to its mission of bringing university students and members of the community together to perform for school and community events.
 
Mariachi Arizona features an ensemble group which includes instruments such as violin, trumpet, guitar, vihuela, golpe, harp, and guitarrón. Our mission is to spread the rich history and culture through traditional mariachi music.

Nepantla Student Association (NSA)

The Nepantla Student Association is a student-led organization dedicated to celebrating and uplifting Mexican, LatinX, and multicultural identities at the University of Arizona and its surrounding community. Our goal is to foster relationships and connections amongst students, support the community through service, and promote cultural awareness. NSA is an inclusive club welcoming students from all backgrounds.
 

La Asociación Estudiantil Nepantla es una organización dirigida por estudiantes dedicada a celebrar y promover identidades mexicanas, latinas y multiculturales en la Universidad de Arizona y la comunidad que la rodea. Nuestro objetivo es fomentar relaciones y conexiones entre los estudiantes, apoyar a la comunidad a través del servicio y promover la conciencia cultural. We are the University of Arizona SACNAS Chapter! The Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) is an all-inclusive society that aims to further the success of Chicano/Hispanic and Native American students in obtaining advanced degrees, careers, leadership positions, and equality in the STEM field. 
Our group consists of undergraduate students, graduate, students, faculty, and alumni participating in science education outreach, volunteer experiences, research opportunities, and mentoring! We are dedicated to uplifting one another, giving back to local Tucson communities, and providing the resources for academic and professional success in STEM. We meet once a month and host a science outreach event, volunteer event, or professional development event monthly!

Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Incorporated

Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Incorporated is a latino founded, but not latino exclusive, multicultural fraternity. The organization was founded on April 4th 1986 at the University of Iowa. The KORRUPT Kappa Alpha Chapter was chartered at the University of Arizona on September 20th, 1997. A Sigma Lambda Beta man lives by our four pillars of Brotherhood, Scholarship, Community Service, and Cultural Awareness.
